Committee Reports
P.I / CPC : Chair Doug H. A question of how many pamphlets and 12×12 should be distributed and where. 70 grapevines where given to the GP police station with thanks. The committee is pleased to announce there has been renewed interest with new members joining .There was a Q&A session with the treatment facility that was very well received. The committee is hoping to follow up with workshops. Doug would like to remind us that there is a no smoking policy at this facility . The district volunteer list now includes P.I/ CPC please encourage your group members to sign up and serve. Walter S. Reports he attended the sister of spirit walk {nursing college}. The dinner was held at the old friendship bingo hall. They serve dinner to the homeless 3 times a week . They are hosting an addiction awareness day November 8 9-5 and have asked all recovery services to participate. Cassandra volunteered to make a display board. Get the word out and hope to see you all there.
Web Servant: Rob E. Revised the web page to include more links, and better access to other A.A. sites. Walter brings back congrats from area 78 for a job well done on district 4’s web page. Way to go Rob!
Literature: No report at this time. The new Lit. Catalogue is out.
Grapevine: Chair Guy. Guy has stepped down as Grapevine chair, making the position available at elections.
DCM: Walter S. Walter will send Pat a full report to make available at a later time. A receipt for $73.27 and $619.72 {area} was turned in. Motion to adopt: Doug H. Second: Rob E. Carried
Group Reports
Saturday Night Group: Rob E. The elevator issue is still a concern. The matter is being discussed at an area level, with hopes of possible grant money. Monies distributed to district, area, and New York,
Gratitude 24/7 Group: Cheryl W. There was 10 ladies at the last meeting, and that’s fabulous. Group elections will be held Saturday October 15.
Mon/Tues A.M. Group: Walter S. Meets 7:00 A.M. Still no name but meetings are going well.
Tuesday Night Group; Clairmont: Doug H. Attendance is very good with other groups members, and reminds us of the importance of supporting your home group. Had one new member join the group this month.
Monday Night Recovery Group: Jeff H. Attendance has been good. Business meeting October 17.
Wednesday Night Mens Group: Victor P. The next two meetings will be held upstairs due to renos . The man cave is getting a much needed update! Turn out to meetings has been good, 2 birthdays at months end.
Other business: Congrats to Walter S. For being elected to Area 78’s Grapevine Chair. Your service and dedication to A.A. is an inspiration to all of us. Thank-you from all of us in District 4 for your continuing commitment.
The big book is now available on line, and ready for download.
Telephone line has a new volunteer for oct/nov {with thanks}. A computer file has been made making it easier to pass along, and e-mail. If you can spare the time, and want to serve contact Cheryl W.
