TREASURERS REPORT – see attached – Balance $2,060.49 – $400.00 received tonight – Darcy MAM to accept report – Pat 2nd carried.
NEW BUSINESS
DISTRICT ELECTION – November 10, 2011 – DCM, Alternate DCM, Treasuer, Secretary. Appointed positions – Telephones, Web Servant, PI/CPC, Treatment, Grapevine.
BANK CARD – only allows access to make a deposit or view account.
WEB SITE – is now more secure and protects information. What do we want on the web site? Potential blogs, minutes of district meetings, ask your group for ideas for content. A newsletter with birthdays? Pat wondered how many AA members know about the web site – www.grandeprairieaa.com
MINUTES – Walter suggested the secretary send minutes to the web site to those with email addresses on it, and the other minutes to personal email addresses.
Walter shared an issue about safety at night – there has been a confrontation after one of the meetings. Please be careful and look after each other.
DCM ADVANCE – to attend Assembly – Doug MAM to advance Walter $600.00, Darcy 2nd carried.
TELEPHONES – Cheryl has changed the messaging for Oct./Sept. – it took more time to find volunteers – please ask your groups for volunteers to go on the messaging, and ask them to listen to the messaging.
PI/CPC - Doug is looking for volunteers to distribute literature – he now has Barry, Walter, Cheryl & Pat. It should be done every two months. He has called a committee meeting for Wed. Sept. 28 at 6:30pm at Clairmont United Church. A discussion was held about doing presentations to various groups – Rob is willing to do the presentation and has the material.
GROUP REPORTS
SUNDAY NIGHT & WED. NIGHT – Jesse is the new GSR – the two groups have joined together. Sun. nite has good attendance 30-60 – few attend business meeting – business meetings have been set for the first Monday of the month. Jesse attending assembley.
WED NOON – SAT. AM – Jodie’s 5th birthday (Sat. am Sept.24). Cheryl will attend assembley. Some of the 7th tradition is missing and some members are considering leaving the group.
7am meeting – small attendance – up to 8 – may go to every morning at 7am.
ADJOURN – 7:50pm – Next district meeting Oct. 13, 2011 at 6:30 at the Friendship Center.
